I graduated from Cass City High School in 1993. After graduation, I attended Saginaw Valley State University and attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and in 2004 finished my Master's degree in Reading Education.  I am also a trained and certified Reading Recovery teacher, which required a full year of training through Oakland University.

Most of my free time is spent with my beautiful family!  My husband, Matt, and I have two gorgeous daughters, Chloee who is 7 and Lilly who is 2.  They keep us very busy and we love it!

I started teaching in Cass City in 1999.  I started teaching kindergarten and am still teaching our full-day kindergarten program.  I love it!

I teach because I truly love kids. Every child has the potential to be a wonderful human being. It is my job to find that part of them and help them to grow. There is nothing like the feeling of teaching a child to read, or hearing the stories they love to tell me first thing in the morning, or that hug at the end of the day! These all make teaching the greatest job in the world!
