Mrs. Keroson

I am a Mid-Michigan girl born and raised in and around the Flint/Saginaw area. In 1974 I graduated from Birch Run High School and began my college career at Delta College in Bay City, MI. There I earned my Associate in Arts degree and continued to pursue my Bachelors in Arts degree after transferring to Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. Upon completion of my teaching degree I became employed at Cass City Public Schools in Cass City, MI. My teaching career began as a Special Education teacher, a position I held for sixteen years. An opportunity arose for me to teach on our sixth grade team and I spent the next three years teaching language and social studies to our sixth graders. Next, I moved to my current position as a seventh grade teacher still teaching language arts and social studies. In May of 2001, I completed my Masters degree in Middle Level Education through Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI.

I credit my mom with inspiring me to become a teacher. She encouraged and supported me every step of the way. Mom instilled in me a love for learning. Through her actions I began to realize my own love of learning and a desire to share knowledge with others and help them grow in their quest for new knowledge. There is a special warmth gained from helping others reach their potential and knowing that I may have helped even just one person recognize the beauty of learning is an extremely gratifying feeling for me.
